Cathy has been an equestrian instructor and trainer for over 30 years. Raised and educated in England, she learned to ride in the classic school of horsemanship. Upon graduating from college, certified to teach high school English, she moved to the United States in 1979. After teaching high school for 3 years, she decided to resume her equestrian career.

At Golden Hill Farm in Lenox, Massachusetts, she established a highly successful business which included lessons, college classes, school vacation programs and a rigorous show schedule.

Her students competed successfully on both local and national show circuits.

Cathy has a dynamic, entertaining, and incredibly focused style of teaching. She is able to quickly and accurately assess each rider and mount so that she can present specific, individualized strategies for immediate improvement.

"Cathy introduced me to the idea that the very issues that we struggle with in the saddle may be connected with the issues we struggle with in every day life! Often times we can take the lessons we learn in our riding lessons and apply them to issues we face daily. Further, doing so will ultimately improve our connection with the horse and make us better riders." - Laura Peterson, LCSW, Equine Facilitated Psychotherapist
